The Ruff

A RuffHooahbears have come up with several forms of land transportation.  One of their favorites methods is using a “Ruff”, or what we would call a dog.  We are not sure of the source of the name Ruff.  Perhaps it is because  they have  dogs sometimes whose hair can then be “ruffled” by the wind, or even ruffled by the Hooahbear itself.  Typically a medium size dog seems to be the preferred size for the mount.  Large dogs tend to eat too much and there is always an ongoing argument over who gets to clean up after them.  Little dogs can be used as mounts also, but tend to be yappy and more excitable.  The preferred sizes are a cocker spaniel or a terrier, but all dogs have all been used.  They have used shelties occasionally, but the herding instinct can sometimes be a problem when they come across a flock of sheep.  They did use an irish wolfhound on one mission back to Washington D.C., but several Hooahbears fell from its back and injured themselves.
