Ongoing Quackulist research

As a quackulist, Dr. Galen is expected to engage in ongoing scientific research and to publish his findings.  Noted articles include,  “An observational study of the flying ability of Sus scrofa domesticus (which had to be stopped early when a pig fell on him).” and “A randomized double blind controlled trial on Gallus gallus domesticus ability to cross the road (which also had to be stopped early when he ran out of chickens).”  He is often helped in  his endeavors by his two research assistants Alpha and Beta.  As you can see, he is currently engaged in a study to see if bugs have eyelashes.galen and microscope

What is a Quackulist?

Hooahbears have developed their own brand of medicine, quackulism. Supposedly dating from before the time of Hippocrates, the practitioners or “quackulists”, have been among the Hooahbears for centuries. Quackulismis a complex mixture made up of western mainstream medicine, a dab of ayurveda and a pinch of herbalism. One of the foremost quackulists is Dr. Galen. Dr. Galen has written many scholarly articles which are rarely read but must be true since they are in one of the premier quackulism journals, The NEJQ. Here is a a nice photo of Dr. Galen preparing to do a featherization. Dr. Galen’s own area of interest is featherism, and he is considered the leading expert in the field of featherization. Perhaps he is the only expert.

What is a Quackulance?

The quackulance is the Hooahbear rapid emergency transport.  At any given time, there is a quackulance ready to respond to an emergency call at any hour of the day. Quackulances have the added benefit of not only being an efficient means of land transport but also work quite well in water rescues. Some might even say too well, since it is very difficult to convince the quackulance to get out of the water once it goes in.
